Self-adhering Bandages

Self-adhering bandages may be used to hold dressings in place, as a pressure bandage, or to support a stable joint injury. They can also be used with a padded aluminum splint to improvise a splint without cutting a T-shirt; depending on the type of splint, two rolls may be needed. The bandage is elastic and sticks to itself with pressure. They excel at holding dressings over joints, something other bandages can't do.

To prevent the bandage material from crushing while in your first aid kit, store it in a large Squeeze-top Vial (2.75" tall x 2" in diameter) — available for purchase below. Or purchase  1.5" diameter PVC pipe from your local hardware store and cut into 2-inch sections. The large Squeeze-top Vial or pipe fits snugly into the large 3-loop velcro strips in our Guide Pack or our Expedition Pack.
2-inch Self-adhering Bandage $3.75
Large Squeeze-top Vial $2
