Expedition Wound Care
Unfortunately wounds — at least minor wounds — are all too common in a backcountry setting; having the right closures, dressings, and bandages make everyone's life easier and safer. Good wound care prevents infection and promotes healing. Wound care supplies do not expire and should be part of every backcountry first aid kit. Consider sealing all your soft goods in a plastic bag or vacuum pouch to protect them from damage.
We do not sell bandaids, gauze pads, or trauma dressings. Bandaids can be improvised with gauze and flexible medical tape; and, trauma dressings can be improvised (and cheaply purchased) by using maxi-pads and bladder control pads.
