Padded Aluminum Splint
Our padded aluminum splint is made from padded aircraft aluminum and is orange, 36 inches long, 4.25 inches wide. Combined with a cloth strip spiral-cut from a T-shirt or a self-adhering bandage, they make an excellent "cast" for fingers, toes, wrists, forearms, ankles, and knees. The splint is easily cut with a pair of trauma scissors. We recommend padding with a thick sock or other layers for increased comfort during difficult or long evacuations. The splint fits into the outside bellows pocket or the internal slash pocket on our Guide and our Expedition First Aid Packs.
