Flexible Medical Tape

Use flexible medical tape for holding dressings in place and low cost friction blister prevention. Flexible medical tape—we sell Mefix®—is superior to cloth tape for securing dressings; it’s breathable, water resistant, and can be applied close to joints. Just cut to size, peel off the backing, and apply. Cover the entire dressing for complete protection. Round the corners and use Tincture of Benzoin to assure good adhesion to the patient’s skin; avoid getting it into the wound.

Mefix comes in two-inch and 4-inch wide rolls. Unless you are purchasing for commercial use, one roll will last many years. No need to carry a the entire roll; cut a long strip (±3 feet)  from the roll; folded flat it fits into the slash pocket inside all our first aid packs.
