WMTC Pocket Mask
Pocket masks offer more protection and are easier to use than face shields but also at the expense of size and weight. Our pocket masks are made from soft plastic, come with an oxygen port, and are protected a hard plastic case. You'll need the optional velcro mesh pocket to hold your face mask in either the Guide First Aid Pack or Expedition First Aid Pack.

Remember that you don't need a pocket mask to give rescue breaths; mouth-to-mouth or mouth-to-nose breathing works well and is reasonably safe (as long as the patient does not have a contagious respiratory virus).

Consider carrying a pocket mask if:
  • you want a physical barrier between you and your patient to help protect against the transmission of a communicable disease
  • your state or organization requires it
  • you have space in your first aid kit and are willing to carry the additional weight
  • there is a moderate to high risk of a group member being struck by lightning, drowning, buried in a snow avalanche, or having a heart attack
Pocket Mask $10.00
