WMTC WFR Courses for AdventureMed Graduates
We understand that AdventureMed's closure in early 2026 has left you in a challenging position regarding recertification. We're sorry you're in this predicament and we would like to do what we can to support you in maintaining your WFR. We would also like to support you in transitioning to a certification that exceeds the minimum Wilderness Medicine Education Collaborative (WMEC) WFR certification standards recommended by the Wilderness Medical Society (WMS). Certifying with a school that adheres to WMEC standards helps make recertification smoother in the future.

Who is eligible?
AdventureMed Wilderness First Responder (WFR) graduates with a current (non-expired) WFR certification. AdventureMed WFR graduates who are in their one-year grace period are also eligible.
What do I need to know?
You'll need to choose the In-person Session you'd like to attend and complete it within 1 year of registering for the Online Module. Take a look at WFR course options here .
