Logistics

Sponsored by Western New Mexico University, this 3-day course is taught onsite at WNMU in Harlan Hall. Nearby green space and wooded areas offer ample outdoor space within walking distance of the classroom for practice simulations.
Nearest Airport: Grant County Airport. Advanced Airlines offers service from Albuquerque, Phoenix, and LAX.
Lodging: 
Please contact course Sponsor if you need suggestions for lodging, or visit https://outdoor.wnmu.edu/resources/ and click on Hotels and Lodging. City of Rocks State Park is a 30 minute drive from campus, great starry night skies, excellent camp sites, pit toilets, water, and hot showers.
Course site information: WNMU Campus. Harlan Hall, room 119. Harlan Hall is located at the corner of 12th and Alabama. (Note: Google Maps incorrectly identifies this building as Ritch Hall, which it is not. The picture posted on Google Maps is of Harlan Hall.)  Enter on the east end of the building and the classroom is immediately to your left on the first floor.
Harlan Hall is building #16 on the campus map. Park on the street or in the parking lot above and to the south of the greenhouses. Please do not park in the parking lot immediately outside the building as this lot is for WNMU employees only. Parking is free.
