Student Resources
These downloads contain important information to help you prepare for your course. Use the course syllabus as a guideline for making your travel and study plans; note that topics and times may change subject to local weather conditions. Remember you must be present and engaged for the entire practical session to be eligible for certification. Be prepared. Thoroughly read the student handbook as it provides detailed information about expectations—yours and ours—what to bring, wear, and how to study. Please contact our office with any questions.

Logistics

Wilderness Trails rests along the Snake River in the Bridger Teton National Forest, mere miles from Yellowstone’s South Gate. Our well-appointed base camp features comfortable wall tents (with real beds, heavy blankets, and fresh sheets), a fully stocked kitchen, forty head of horses and mules, and immediate access to both Yellowstone and the Teton Wilderness.

Enjoy mornings in our beautiful camp with hot coffee and freshly prepared country breakfasts. Wind down with western dinners cooked over the fire. Hearty lunches and snacks ensure you never go hungry. Arrive the evening of June 5th so you are rested and ready for the WFR to begin on the morning of June 6th. All meals and lodging from the evening of June 5th to the afternoon of June 10th are included in the price of tuition.

Parking is free onsite, no transportation needed once at our facility. Class will be held in our communal kitchen tent. The camp offers reliable cell for Verizon subscribers but AT&T can be spotty. Limited WIFI connectivity is available. Small electronic devices can be charged off our solar system.
