This is an in-person course and subject to protocols designed to minimize the transmission of COVID-19 during the course. You must agree to abide by these protocols and be fully vaccinated to attend the course.
We highly recommend that anyone registering for a course consider purchasing trip insurance in the event that COVID-19 or other covered circumstances impact your participation in the course. There are no refunds once you register and pay for a course.
This hybrid course is sponsored by Puget Sound Outdoors. The 5-day practical session is held on the UPS campus in Thompson Hall (Building F on the map). Fields and some wooded areas offer ample outdoor space within walking distance of classrooms for practice simulations. More complicated and interesting simulation sites are within a short drive at Point Defiance State Park and Owen Beach. The university does not provide transportation to off-campus simulation sites; be prepared to carpool.
