You must complete the Part 1 online component of our two-part  hybrid WEMT course in order to register for the Part 2 practical session.
This is an in-person course and subject to protocols designed to minimize the transmission of COVID-19 during the course. You must agree to abide by these protocols to attend the course.

Student Downloads
These downloads contain important information to help you prepare for your course. Use the course syllabus as a guideline for making your travel and study plans; note that topics and times may change subject to local weather conditions. Remember you must be present and engaged for the entire course or practical session to be eligible for certification. Be prepared. Thoroughly read the student handbook as it provides detailed information about expectations—yours and ours—what to bring, wear, and how to study. Logistics

The course is held outside at Vedauwoo Recreation Area in Medicine Bow National Forest about a 25 minute drive east from Laramie, WY on I-80. Exit I-8 at the Vedauwoo exit, then take Vedauwoo Rd east (north of I-80) about a mile to the entrance to the Vedauwoo Recreation Area. Meet at Turtle Rock Gazebo on day one in the day use picnic area. This is a fee area; cost is $5 per day. A National Parks Pass or local Medicine Bow pass are accepted.
Nearest Airport: Laramie Regional Airport (LAR/KLAR)
Lodging: Lots of hotel and AirBnB options available in Laramie.
Camping: Vedauwoo Campground $10/night for a campsite; First come, first serve. Drinking water depends on the year; plan to bring your own. Dispersed camping in the recreation area is free. Call (307) 745-2300 for more information.
