If you have completed Part 1 of our hybrid WFR & WEMT Recertification course, you may use this practical session to recertify your WFR or WEMT certification.

Course includes Adult & Child WCPR and AED certification.

Use the course syllabus as a guideline for making your travel and study plans; note that topics and times may change subject to local weather conditions. Remember you must be present and engaged for the entire course or practical session to be eligible for certification. Be prepared. Thoroughly read the student handbook as it provides detailed information about expectations—yours and ours—what to bring, wear, and how to study. You must complete the 14-day precourse COVID health log to enter the practical session.

Logistics

The practical session for Part 2 of this hybrid course is held the at Tonsmeire Ranch in the Hayden Creek drainage roughly a 40-minute drive from Salmon, ID
Nearest Airport: Idaho Falls (IDA)
Lodging: There are many lodging options Salmon, a 40 minute drive from the course site.
Classroom: Rustic River classroom setting in the warehouse of Wilderness River Outfitters located on Tonsmeire Ranch.
Camping: Free camping at the course site. Students have access to a bathroom and kitchenette.
Parking: Free on site.
Meals: Many restaurants in Salmon. Large grocery store in town. Students who plan to camp at the course site should bring food for the weekend; store perishables in a cooler.
Directions from Salmon, ID
Head South on Hwy 28 almost 27 miles then turn right on Hayden Creek Road. Stay on Hayden Creek road until it turns to dirt and proceed one mile on the dirt road. Turn left onto a driveway with a large wooden archway and cattle guard. (If you start going up a second hill, you passed it.) Once in the driveway, you will cross a bridge over Hayden creek, stay to the right of the fork in the road and continue up the creek. The road dead ends at the warehouse.
