About RECERT Courses
Compare standard and hybrid course formats
Our Recertification course focuses on updates, patient assessment, and evacuation while providing a thorough review of the original course material. 90% of the course is hands-on simulations, skill labs, and case study reviews. Graduates with current WFR and WEMS certifications — or those in their grace period — from an approved provider may recertify with us. Standard RECERT courses include an online pre-course review.
You must hold a national registry certification or state license to recertify a WEMS certification and WMTC WEMS certifications are only valid with current NREMT cert or state license. We do not recertify graduates of online-only programs.

WMTC WFR & WEMS certifications are valid for a maximum of three years; there is no grace period. To recertify, you must complete a WFR & WEMS Recertification course before your certification expires.

Registering for the Online Module only

We recommend taking an entire hybrid course whenever possible. There may, however, be some cases when it makes sense to register for and begin the Online Module before or without registering for the In-person Session: 
  • You'd like to get started on the Online Module and there are not currently any In-person Sessions that fit your schedule.
  • You have time to complete the Online Module now, and may not have time later. 
  • You are interested in the education contained in the Online Module and don't need certification.  
While you may register for the Online Module only now, you will need to register for and complete an In-person Session within one year of registering for the Online Module to receive certification
