WMTC News
Check your WMTC certification status online
WMTC graduates can check their certification status online and download a new certification [free]; print your certification or store it on your phone as a pdf file. Go to the Certification Database and follow the directions

Recertification
Beginning July 2025, graduates will no longer be able to recertify their WAFA, WFR, or WEMS certification via a WFA course and must take a Recert course.

If you wish to recertify with a hybrid course, you must complete both Part 1 (the independent online study and testing) and Part 2 (the hands-on in-person practical session) within the same year and before your certification expires. There is no additional "grace period" with WMTC certifications."

Curriculum Updates
We expanded our Wilderness EMS course options to include three levels of courses:
  1. EMRs & EMTs [Basic Life Support — launched 2025]
  2. AEMTs, Paramedics, & Registered Nurses [Advanced Life Support — scheduled launch 2026]
  3. Nurse Practitioners, Physician Associates, & Physicians [Practitioner] — scheduled launch 2026]
