Case Studies in Wilderness Medicine Second Edition
The second edition of Case Studies in Wilderness Medicine has been updated and printed in full color; it is designed to be used with WMTC's Patient SOAP note tablet (included). The workbook and SOAP notes are part of a complete teaching package used in WMTC courses. The 8.5 x 11 inch workbook contains 22 case studies that, while fictional, are based on real events; each case study is followed by a detailed discussion. Patients suffering from similar mechanisms of injury or illness (MOI) in real life will have the same assessment guidelines, problems, anticipated problems, and treatment plans as the patients in the workbook. The book and Patient SOAP note tablet offers students an opportunity to evaluate and treat a diverse group of problems commonly encountered in a wilderness environment.
