You must complete the Part 1 online component of our two-part  hybrid WFR & WEMT Recertification course in order to attend the Part 2 practical session.

Student Downloads
These downloads contain important information to help you prepare for your course. Use the course syllabus as a guideline for making your travel and study plans; note that topics and times may change subject to local weather conditions. Remember you must be present and engaged for the entire course or practical session to be eligible for certification. Be prepared. Thoroughly read the student handbook as it provides detailed information about expectations—yours and ours—what to bring, wear, and how to study.

Logistics

The 2-day practical session for this hybrid recertification course is held at the Skull Hollow Campground, a Forest Service site near Smith Rock State Park. The practical session takes place in an outdoor classroom, under an awning and in the surrounding terrain.
Lodging: ​There are also hotel and Airbnb accommodations in nearby Remond.
Camping: Camping available onsite.  The campsite has picnic tables and long drop toilets, but no running water.  While some water is provided by the sponsor,  plan to bring your own.  The campsite is available Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night.
Parking: Please park in the Cole Loop trailhead parking lot outside the campground; parking is free.
Food: The nearest grocery store and restaurants are in Terrebonne, OR.  Redmond also has a variety of grocery and restaurant options. If you are commuting, bring your own lunch, snacks, and water.
